GERMANY / Saxony / Upper Lusatia / Bautzen / View to the Innere Lauenstrasse. The Lauenturm, the tower with equestrian statue of the King Albert of Saxony was built between 1400 to 1403. Yellow city hall has three clocks, the lowest of them is a sundial. According to the draft of Johann Christoph von Naumann, the municipal building was reconstructed from 1729 until 1732.
Bautzen, the 'city of towers' is located on the Spree River and the centre of the Sorbs, a West-Slavic people and a recognised national minority.
