GERMANY / Saxony / Ore Mountains / Oberwiesenthal / The climatic spa Oberwiesenthal is situated at the border to Czechia between 850 and 1050 m and is therefore the highest-altitude town in Germany, and also a popular winter sport region. The Fichtelbergbahn, a steam powered narrow-gauge railway crossing the Huettenbachviadukt (Huettenbach viaduct). In the background is the Fichtelberg (1215 m), the highest mountain of Saxony.
