The primate was relaxing in a tree with her cute week-old baby when she noticed the camera pointing at her. She couldn't resist the urge to pose for the photographer and pulled a huge grin - and then even stuck her tongue out. These adorable shots were taken by photographer Adhi Prayoga when he approached the mum with her baby. He said the long-tailed macaque was sitting in the tree with her newborn in a protected forest area in the village Suranadi, in Lombok, Indonesia. Adhi, 44, was just a metre away from the cheeky monkey when he photographed her pulling poses and sticking her tongue out.

This young macaque created a hilarious photobomb moment as it tried to gatecrash its mum and a younger sibling's tender moment at Longleat Safari park in Wiltshire. Keeper Ian Turner was in the enclosure attempting to take photographs of some babies which had recently been born when the monkey flashed his pearly whites. He said: 'I was trying to get in a position to get a clear shot of the babies being carried by their mothers in the foreground when I noticed this young male suddenly come into shot at the top of the frame. 'It wasn't until I checked through the images that I saw he looked as if he was smiling at the camera'.

These gorgeous images were captured by Jacques-Andrй Dupont, 51, on an eight day safari in Tarangire National Park, Tanzania. Jacques-Andrй stood on top of a four-by-four vehicle to take pictures of the green-brown coloured Olive Baboon on the branches level with him. He said: 'The very funny and lovable baboon infant was all over a big acacia tree, jumping around from bottom to top, running on the ground, playing with other youngsters, jumping, climbing.' He added: 'In between playing sessions with other members of the family, it went onto a separate tree branch and showcased what I felt to be the most beautiful behaviour.' Jacques-Andrй thought the baby looked like it was in deep thought.

Hands aloft, the cheeky monkey was captured as it hopped up and down while its non-plussed mother picked delicious seeds from cotton. Wildlife photographer and Exodus guide Paul Goldstein came across the excitable youngster while searching for tigers in central India's Tadoba National Park last month. Wimbledon-based Paul explains: 'When tigers are sleeping or out of sight the langur monkey is a fine target for any camera. Here a youngster practices a celebration routine. It almost appears as though its mother is controlling it by a cotton-clad remote control!' Multi-award-winning photographer Paul Goldstein leads photographic safaris and expeditions for adventure specialists Exodus all over the world.
