Cedric Robinson has been Official Queen's Guide to the Sands at Morecambe Bay for 52 years, ever since 1963. His job is to guide walkers and to mark quicksand dangers areas in the sand at low tide with evergreen branches of laurel trees. His leafy warning system has protected thousands of walkers from the dangers of shifting Quicksands between Grange over Sands and Morecambe in the Lake District in Lancashire.
