GERMANY / Lower Saxony / Barge passing through the lock near Landesbergen. Lockage was built on the two kilometres long sluiceway in 1960. The Middle Weser between Minden and Bremen is regulated by seven weirs and locks. The Weser River forms through the confluence of the rivers Fulda and Werra in Hannoversch Muenden. With a length of 452 kilometres, it is the fifth longest river in Germany.
